Stanley Cup Odds: Blackhawks vs Lightning in Cup final

Having started the season at 13/2 on the odds to win the Stanley Cup at Bodog, the Chicago Blackhawks are now sitting at -150 at the online sportsbook on those betting lines as they prepare to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup final.

The Bodog Stanley Cup futures back on October 1 had the Blackhawks sitting as the 13/2 favorites with the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, and Los Angeles Kings all at 10/1 odds. The Lightning sat at 14/1 on the odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup back then.

On December 1 the Blackhawks had slipped to 15/2 on those Stanley Cup odds, while the Lightning had improved to 12/1. Entering the playoffs the Blackhawks sat at 8/1 on the odds to win the Stanley Cup at Bodog, with the Lightning still listed at 12/1 on those NHL futures.

And with Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final on tap for June 3 in Tampa Bay the Blackhawks are now at -150 on the Stanley Cup odds at the sportsbook, with the Lightning trailing at +130.

The Blackhawks have played 17 games so far in the playoffs, going 12-5 in those contests. Chicago topped the Nashville Predators in six games in the first round before sweeping the Minnesota Wild in the second round and then needing the full seven games to beat the Ducks in the Western final.

The Lightning have played 20 games so far in the playoffs, using the full seven games to get past the Detroit Red Wings in the first round and the New York Rangers in the Eastern final. Tampa Bay topped the Montreal Canadiens in six games in the second round of the playoffs.
