Stanley Cup Odds: Hawks move up NHL futures

Sitting as the top team in the National Hockey League over the first few weeks of the season, Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks now find themselves leading the way on the Stanley Cup odds at the sportsbooks.

At Sports Interaction the Blackhawks have moved to the top of the Stanley Cup betting futures at 5/1, which has them ahead of each of the Pittsburgh Penguins (6/1), Vancouver Canucks (7/1), and Boston Bruins (9/1). The Blackhawks have started the season with an 11-0-3 record for 25 points in just 14 games.

The New York Rangers are next at 11/1 on the current Stanley Cup futures, followed by both the St. Louis Blues and the Anaheim Ducks at 12/1, and the New Jersey Devils and the San Jose Sharks at 15/1. The Sharks won their first seven games of the season but are winless since then to sit with a record of 7-4-3.

Both the Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Canadiens sit at 20/1 on the odds to win the Stanley Cup at Sports Interaction right now, with the Nashville Predators at 22/1, and the Los Angeles Kings in a group of teams at 25/1. The Kings, who won the Stanley Cup last season, are just 5-5-2 to start this season.

The Philadelphia Flyers, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Edmonton Oilers join the Kings at 25/1 on the Stanley Cup odds, with the Minnesota Wild at 28/1, the Toronto Maple Leafs at 33/1, and the Phoenix Coyotes, Ottawa Senators, and Dallas Stars at 40/1. Dallas sits at 8-6-1 through their first 15 games.

The Washington Capitals are back at 50/1 on the odds to win the Stanley Cup at Sports Interaction along with the Buffalo Sabres, with the Colorado Avalanche at 75/1, the Winnipeg Jets at 80/1, and each of the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, and New York Islanders at 100/1. The Columbus Blue Jackets are last at 250/1.
