Stanley Cup Odds: Predators rising on NHL futures

As we approach the NHL trade deadline teams continue to jockey for the top spots on the odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup at the sportsbooks, with the Nashville Predators the latest club to make a move up the list after they bolstered their roster.

The Predators acquired defenseman Cody Franson and forward Mike Santorelli from the Toronto Maple Leafs to add depth to both the blueline and the forward corps of the team sitting in first place overall in the NHL standings with under 30 games left in the regular season.

Stanley Cup Betting: Hawks hold off Ducks on odds

The Chicago Blackhawks are back atop the odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup at the online sportsbooks, with the Anaheim Ducks and the Pittsburgh Penguins sitting behind the Blackhawks on the latest edition of those NHL betting futures.

At Bodog the Blackhawks are now the 5/1 leader on the odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup, with the Ducks second at 15/2, and the Penguins third at 9/1. Pittsburgh had been the leader on those Stanley Cup futures back in December.

Cup Odds Update: Blackhawks, Penguins tied at top

The Chicago Blackhawks are off to just a middling start to the 2014/15 NHL season, but the oddsmakers at the online sportsbooks still have them as the co-favorites on the updated odds to win the Stanley Cup in the spring.

At Bodog the Blackhawks and Penguins both sit at 15/2 on the Stanley Cup betting lines a month into the season, with the Boston Bruins rounding out the top three contenders on the futures list at 17/2.

Cup Odds Update: Canadian clubs scattered on list

The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs will meet on the ice on October 8 to kick off the 2014/15 NHL season, and the Stanley Cup odds at the sportsbooks heading into the campaign have one of them listed as the top Canadian team.

And that team is Montreal, with the Habs leading all Canadian clubs with a line of 18/1 on the Stanley Cup odds at online sportsbook Bodog heading into the season. Montreal will be looking to build on their run to the Eastern Conference final last season.
