NHL Futures: Stanley Cup Odds Update

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks remain at the top of the odds to win the 2014 Stanley Cup at the online sportsbooks heading into November, but a hot start to the season has pushed the San Jose Sharks up amongst those betting favorites.

The latest Stanley Cup odds at Bodog have Pittsburgh leading the way at 13/2, followed by both Chicago and San Jose at 7/1. The Penguins got out to a 10-4-0 start in their first 14 games of the season, with Chicago starting 9-2-3 in their first 14 games, and San Jose posting a record of 10-1-2 through their first 13 games.

Penguins return to top of Stanley Cup odds

The new NHL season is just over a week old so it is still too early to start separating the contenders from the pretenders, but Bodog has recently updated its odds for winning each conference as well as this season’s Stanley Cup.

Through Tuesday night the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks are 1-0-1 in their first two games. While they started the season as favorites to win a second straight title, they are now 7/1 second-favorites on the most recent list at Bodog. Chicago is still favored to win the Western Conference at 11/4.

Blackhawks hit training camp as Cup favorites

With NHL training camps underway and the start of the regular season fast approaching the defending-champion Chicago Blackhawks have taken over sole possession of top spot on the odds to win the Stanley Cup.

The Pittsburgh Penguins sat as the 13/2 favorites ahead of the 15/2 Blackhawks on the Stanley Cup odds at Bodog earlier in the summer, but Chicago is now at 6/1 on that list, with Pittsburgh a step behind them at 15/2 on the updated futures.

Penguins atop opening 2014 Stanley Cup odds

Regrouping from an upset in the Eastern Conference final, the Pittsburgh Penguins will enter the NHL’s offseason as the favorites on the odds to win the Stanley Cup in 2014.

Despite being swept by the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference final this spring Sidney Crosby and company still enter the summer as the 13/2 favorites on the odds to win the 2014 Stanley Cup at Bodog.

Hawks, Pens tied atop Stanley Cup odds

With the puck dropping on the second round of the NHL playoffs this week it’s the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks who sit tied as the favorites on the odds to win the Stanley Cup at the sportsbooks.

On the Bodog Stanley Cup odds the Blackhawks and the Penguins both sit at 5/2, with Chicago coming off a five-game win over the Minnesota Wild in the first round and Pittsburgh coming off a six-game win over the New York Islanders.
