Penguins trailing leaders on 2016 Stanley Cup odds

Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins bolstered their lineup over the summer with the acquisition of Phil Kessel from the Toronto Maple Leafs, but they’re still trailing the top favorites on the odds to win the 2016 Stanley Cup at the sportsbooks.

The Penguins sit sixth on the Stanley Cup futures at Bodog at +1400 with training camp on the horizon, putting them in a tie with the St. Louis Blues and behind five other teams on those betting lines at the sportsbook.

Stanley Cup Odds: Rangers enter playoffs as chalk

It’s the New York Rangers who enter this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs as the favorites, with five Canadian clubs falling in behind them on that NHL futures list at the online sportsbooks with the league’s postseason schedule getting underway on April 15.

At online sportsbook Bodog the Rangers are set as the 6/1 Stanley Cup odds favorites, putting them just ahead of four other teams that are holding down 8/1 odds – the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, and St. Louis Blues.

Stanley Cup Odds: Predators rising on NHL futures

As we approach the NHL trade deadline teams continue to jockey for the top spots on the odds to win the 2015 Stanley Cup at the sportsbooks, with the Nashville Predators the latest club to make a move up the list after they bolstered their roster.
