Flyers move to top of Stanley Cup futures

The Philadelphia Flyers have shot to the top of the Stanley Cup futures board at the sportsbooks as they look to finish off the former favorites, the Pittsburgh Penguins, this week.

The Flyers hold a commanding 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins, and as a result they’ve moved up from 14/1 to 4/1 odds to win the Stanley Cup this spring at Bodog.

The Penguins, meanwhile, have slid all the way down to 35/1 odds, where they’re joined by another former favorite in a huge hole – the Vancouver Canucks.

The Canucks were at 11/2 on the odds to win the Stanley Cup before the playoffs started, but down 3-0 to the Los Angeles Kings in their Western Conference quarterfinal series they’re now at 35/1.

The Kings have moved up from 20/1 to 6/1 on that odds list at Bodog as they look to sweep the Canucks, which ties them with the New York Rangers. The Boston Bruins are at 8/1 to repeat as the Stanley Cup champions.

The Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues both sit at 9/1 odds right now, with the Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks at 15/1, and the Detroit Red Wings at 16/1.

The New Jersey Devils (18/1), Phoenix Coyotes (25/1), Washington Capitals (25/1), Ottawa Senators (35/1), and Florida Panthers (40/1) round out the current Stanley Cup odds at Bodog.
