Stanley Cup Odds: Blues bulk up for playoffs

The St. Louis Blues bolstered their lineup prior to the NHL’s Trade Deadline by acquiring goaltender Ryan Miller from the Buffalo Sabres, and they remain atop the latest Stanley Cup odds at the sportsbooks with the season winding down.

The latest odds to win the Stanley Cup at Bodog have the Blues set as the 5/1 favorites, with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins both at 6/1 on that NHL futures list. The Anaheim Ducks and the Boston Bruins are each holding down 15/2 Stanley Cup odds at Bodog.

The second tier of title contenders is then highlighted by both the Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks at 10/1, followed by the Colorado Avalanche at 18/1, and the New York Rangers at 20/1. The Rangers made a big move at the deadline as well, swapping out captain Ryan Callahan for Martin St. Louis in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The first Canadian teams on the latest Stanley Cup odds are then the Toronto Maple Leafs at 25/1 and the Montreal Canadiens at 28/1. The Canadiens bolstered their attack for the stretch run by scooping up forward Thomas Vanek in a trade with the New York Islanders prior to the deadline.

The Philadelphia Flyers join the Habs at 28/1 on the latest Bodog Stanley Cup odds, with the Lightning and Minnesota Wild both at 33/1, and each of the Dallas Stars, Washington Capitals, and Detroit Red Wings at 40/1. The Red Wings added depth down the middle prior to the deadline by trading for longtime Nashville Predators forward David Legwand.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are at 50/1 on those Stanley Cup futures, with the Vancouver Canucks at 66/1 after they shipped goaltender Roberto Luongo back to Florida. Each of the New Jersey Devils, Phoenix Coyotes, Winnipeg Jets, and Ottawa Senators are then at 75/1.
