Blues now favorites on Stanley Cup odds

With a first-round victory already in hand, the St. Louis Blues are now the favorites at the sportsbooks to come out on top in the Stanley Cup playoffs this spring.

The Blues have moved to 4/1 on the Stanley Cup odds at Bodog entering action this week, putting them just ahead of the 5/1 Philadelphia Flyers – who knocked out the Pittsburgh Penguins on the weekend.

Flyers move to top of Stanley Cup futures

The Philadelphia Flyers have shot to the top of the Stanley Cup futures board at the sportsbooks as they look to finish off the former favorites, the Pittsburgh Penguins, this week.

The Flyers hold a commanding 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins, and as a result they’ve moved up from 14/1 to 4/1 odds to win the Stanley Cup this spring at Bodog.

Blackhawks Coyotes Playoff Odds

The Phoenix Coyotes captured their first ever Pacific Division title this season, but it doesn’t mean a whole lot to the oddsmakers at Bodog.ca who have listed them as series underdogs versus the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Coyotes are a +110 underdog in the series at Bodog.ca, while Chicago, who actually won three more game than Phoenix and had four more points are a -130 favorite.

Canucks Kings Playoff Odds

If you like a lot goals, you will be disappointed with this series.

The Canucks and Kings meet up in a first round series that will likely be determined by how good, or bad one sides goal tending is. During the regular season the Canucks and Kings clashed four times, splitting the season-series 2-2. In those four games goals were at a premium with 16 goals scored total and the Under going 1-0-3.

This may be the best series in the opening round. The Penguins and Flyers don’t like each other and the bad blood could boil over in a seven-game series.

The Penguins and Flyers met up to close out the regular season last week, but don’t take too much from the Penguins 4-2 win in that contest. The Flyers rested both their top scorer, Claude Giroux, and their starting goalie, Ilya Bryzgalov, in that game.
